Collecting team fee from your players is never a fun experience, it takes time and effort. Here is a way to simplify and make your life as the team GM easier. When you register your team, simply choose to activate DirectPay on the form. You will receive an email with the player registration link that you can forward to everyone on the team. Tell them how much you want to charge them to play for the season and the rest is in their hands.
The best part about DirectPay is that it is completely automated, you never have to go and collect team fees in person again, you don’t have to deal with cheques or cash in the dressing room and worry that it may go missing.
Avoid the cash mess
Players can choose one, two or monthly payments on the registration link for your team. For example, say you are charging $100 per player to play on your team. When you forward the link to your players, you tell them the total amount to enter on the form is $100. If they choose to pay monthly, the form will auto calculate the monthly amount for them. They do not need to do the math.
You can even choose to pay your deposit via DirectPay. Once you have the link, get 3-4 players including yourself to pay your own team fees and your deposit will be taken care off.
So what happens if you pay the team deposit yourself to secure a great schedule pick for the summer and then get everyone to pay their own fees on DirectPay resulting in overpayment of the team invoice? Great question, you have two options, we can refund your deposit in full or your can keep it on the team account and we will apply it to the next season automatically placing you at the top of the list once you have reached the required deposit amount for that season.
You as a team GM are still responsible for the overall payment of the team invoice. This is just another method of payment you can offer your teammates. Our mission is to reduce, as much as possible, the unpleasant tasks that fall on you as the team GM and make running a team an easy, fun and enjoyable process.
We accept, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX on DirectPay. All players using DirectPay will be reflected in full (the amount you told them to pay for the team) on your team invoice even if they choose two, or monthly payments. In the event that a player on your team becomes delinquent, we will try to rectify the problem directly with the player first, if that fails the rest of the fees owed by the player will be added to the team invoice and it will be up to you to decide what you would like to do with this player.
